The free Startup Plan is only available to academic research labs who don't have an existing Kanobo plan or university students who want to use Kanobo as their personal notebook. It includes:

How to sign up
Fill out the following form with your institute-issued email address and information about your lab and research and we'll email you back as soon as possible from support@kanobo.com with a greeting and a coupon code.
How to claim code
Create an account at https://kanobo.app (it doesn't have to be the same as the email address you received the code). Select 'Startup plan for qualified labs' in the plan dropdown.
Click on the button labelled $30.00
Then click on Apply coupon, paste the code you received in the field, the coupon should reduce the amount to $0. Continue checkout to finalize lab creation.
Click the Back Arrow to continue checkout
You'll still need to enter your billing address but you do not need to enter a credit card for the 3 Member Startup Plan with your coupon applied.
Note: Once a free plan has been upgraded it can no longer be downgraded back to free, but you can continue to use the original code to get $30 off any plan each month.
